A previous owner back me. How can I safely erase adjectives of their junk to generate more spawce?

KILLDISK.com, wipe the hard drive and reformat.
If you hold the original OS & driver installation disk, reinstall everything.
Never format unless you enjoy an original (bootable) Operating system and the push button code required when installing it. You would also need the drivers for adjectives devices (network card, video, chipset, sound, etc) if formating.
Windows 98-XP Start, Accessory's, System Tools, Disk Cleanup
