Sorry, I designed on a disciple :(?

What are the three wires for on a pentium 4 heatsink/fan, I pulled out the green and it continues to work?

Sorry, I designed on a disciple :(?

Don't know but to be on the protected side I would reattach that green wire!

:-)~
it monitors the devotee speed so computer knows if it is working or not
3 wires all right one is ground other 2 is 2 positive leads one turns on the low speed (always running) other is the elevated speed fan so when it get hotter then it should that 3rd flex kicks the adherent to a higher speed. so... that anyone said if you do any kind of gaming or video thangs that really push your notebook and make it work you might be looking at over heat and taking your CPU out... So might should put it back lol

Hope this help.
