Spill a drink on a computer?

A friend of mine spilled a soda on his computer. When they brought it within to be repaired they said the cost would be around 600$. Is that reasonable? How long should it pinch to be fixed?

Spill a drink on a computer?

I hate to report to you this, but $600 is too much. You can buy yourself a new wearing clothes computer with that money. Depending on where on earth the drink spilled on the computer, it still shouldn't cost that much. If they said you had spill it on the motherboard and it ruin everything, you might as very well find yourself a new computer instead of have them to replace it. You need to find out what is man repaired and weight the option of repairing or not. As to how long it will take, depends on what is man repaired. If it is only a few hardware parts, it should bring more than 2 days. It actually lately take 1 to 2 hrs.
The cost of the repair will depend on what components be damaged; did they provide an itemized estimate?

for that price, he may want to invest within a new computer!
This depends on where on earth the drink was exactly spilled if on the tower/desktop itself later yes it is reasonable beside cost , but if your drink only hit the baby grand then no it's not judicious.
What type of computer? Laptop? What did the spilled drink come in contact beside? Keyboard?
