right presently i have amd athlon 3800 venice single core and i dont know if i should i grasp the double core. also if my old cpu be in a 939 socket would the x2 work beside it also if its the same socket type? im into the contemporary releas games and i want to know if the 3800 would give out dutiful performence.

You can still find the 939 X2 3800 processors. It should be able to run most games. Given you own a good video card and a nice amount of memory.

Current AMD X2 are socket 940 AM2
3800X2 are a righteous choice of value and actions.
ya thats a great processor but i suggest upgrading a little bit to the 4200+ or the 4600+.
