I'm building a computer and I acquire this error message when I connect my new SATA 250 GB Hard Drive.
"Reboot and Select proper Boot device or Incert Boot Media contained by selected Boot Device and press a knob."
I put in the Windows XP compact disc but still same thing. I go into BIOS to change Boot Priority to disc still woulden't work. I tried using DiscWizard Zero Fill through a floppy drive. The hard drive wouldent even show up. The funny entity is that when I'm in BIOS, its detecting the Hard Drive and shows me the specs for it, but when I try to nouns OS, I get that error message.
Any Help is Apreciated.
Thank You
SATA Hard Drive Reboot and Select proper Boot device?
Well it not detecting an operating system on the tricky drive is expected, nothing seem out of order in attendance.
The problem seems to be any with your Windows disc or the reader itself. Use another known bootable disc and if that still doesn't work, trade out the cd-rom drive and try again.
u need to nouns the sata driver at f6 prompt ...
