bios see my second drive (set as a slave) but windows does not. what can I do?
second sturdy drive see by bios but not window xp?
Make sure the second drive is formatted to a filesystem i.e. readable by Windows (FAT, FAT32, NTFS).
you can get more information by doing a investigate on any search engine. use keywords
- installing a 2nd strong drive
- how to format a hard drive
- 2nd complicated drive isnt appearing in window
Make sure the second hard drive is partitioned.
In directive to check this, right-click the My Computer icon on Desktop, choose "Manage", consequently, under the "Storage" branch, choose "Disk Management"
On the right pane you will know how to see whether the second hard drive is near. If the drive is in here, you can now proceed to barrier it the way you close to.
Hope this helps
If it is a unsullied hard drive, the BIOS will find it as it query the drive for its vendor ID and straightforward drive info, but in writ for Windows to see the drive, it has to hold at least one wall created on the drive.
