I purchased a ASUS A8V-VM SE Socket 939 VIA K8M890 Micro ATX AMD Motherboard from Newegg at http://www.newegg.com/product/product.as... in need a heatsink. What type of heatsink would I need to directive and do I need to instruct anything else to attach the heatsink to the motherboard?
Please help me out
Recommed heatsink for specific Athlon 64 Motherboard?
Go rear to New Egg and purchase a RAIDMAX RC-018. The list for lately under $20 and own a copper base. The 80MM follower is a bit quieter than the standard sized fans for CPUs. I'm rebuilding 16 computers contained by my compnay's computer training lab and I'm putting these on ever one. Here's a link.

Good luck
You must be mistaken. No motherboard alone comes next to a heatsink for the CPU. The CPU itself usually comes with a heatsink except the OEM ones. BTW your association doesn't work. If you got the combo from newegg which comes next to an OEM CPU then you'll inevitability a heatsink and fan. You can find that on newegg also. Just look for any heatsink/fan combo near good ratings that'll fit on a socket 939.
