Will I be able to d/l the later win98 patches, drivers, etc? Is this a difficult profession? I've never had to do this until that time.thanks for your expertise.

PS i hold backed up adjectives my files and I believe I have adjectives the recovery disks.

Your best bet would be to download the largest drivers before you reinstall window and save those drivers to a disk. By basic drivers I mean Video drivers, Network drivers, modem drivers.

That means of access, once you reinstall windows, you hold the required drivers to get online equipped.

Reinstalling Win98 is not really difficult at all. Just follow the directions here: http://www.dansdata.com/sbs30.htm...
if you do you will not know how to get any updates.Microsoft have stopped servicing windows 98...sorry
if you own the recovery disks, next that will restore you to the factory default. by the opening if you are asked to reformat, do so, but do not use the quick choice take the full format. after you hold formatted and reloaded, then you will want to shift and find any of the important updates that microsoft put out for 98, apply those and later reload yours apps and your data.
pop the freestyle out of the mother board ,while the unit is unplugged push the start button,,put the freestyle back within, plug it back surrounded by , turn it on ,bingo factory default settings. the firm drive is a little harder.
