Format Hard drive to inventive capacity ?
I just this minute formatted a hard drive to be precise 20 Gig and after the format it states that its capacity is very soon 2 Gig what do i have to do to it to go and get it back to its imaginative size; I have formatted it again beside no success this process be done on a P4 2 Ghz machine and it be converted to the NTFS file system whilst installing XP Pro.

You necessitate to delete the partion completly and repartion it using the full 20GB. this can be done using the windows install disk. Boot to the disk, may differ depending on what OS youhave
Check the BIOS settings.....Might want totry a BIOS update also....sounds close to you have the I/O mode set wrong...
