Is it possible for a compaq sr1920nx to catch everything inside the case out excluding the inventive motherboard and place everything on a new travel case and a motherboard? Can I install a new OS contained by it without reformating?

Unforntunaly, no. I will not articulate there is no style, but the bios is in the mobo and you will not boot the spanking new board.
200 GB SATA, 16X DVD(+/-)R/RW (+/-)R DL LightScribe drive, and Athlon 64 (V) 3500+ 2.2 GHz Socket 939 Processor are all salvagable. You can install a untried operating system on it, but not without formatting the tricky drive. I would burn whatever programs, documents, and files you want to hang on to on a DVD to reuse after installing on new motherboard.
You must reconfigure Windows to work near the new motherboard and its components because not adjectives motherboards use the same hardware abstraction vein (HAL), integrated device electronics (IDE) controllers, basic input/output system (BIOS), and other components.
