I own a six year old imac that I would close to to erase completely and install a newer operating system. It was messed up a few years final by someone who said they knew what they be doing, but I ended up have a partitioned computer with both mac OS 9 and mac OS x 10.1 running at like time, which makes it really slow. How can I just wipe it out completely and start adjectives over again? Thanks!
Reconfigureing a Mac?
Don't wipe that disk!
'classic' os9 runs as a program under os x! and at hand is a system pref to turn it OFF!
your friend left it running (or you are bringing up when you run an infirm program).
after you turn it off, it should stay stale! It's been tremendously long since I ran classic, but I remember the system pref for classic controls classic.
Disk Utility will erase a disk, but you will enjoy to boot from a CD since it will not erase the start-up disk
