there is no necessitate SLI right now as no games or anyhting that I can remember that wishes SLI. sorry your ASUS mobo is defective. I have one and it works basically fine. I owuld just attain a great video card like the nvidia 7950 card or the 8800 if going to use visa.and when the time comes that stuff wants SLI. then you can receive a second one. but right now no requirement for SLI.
I'm sorry you've had impossible experience with Asus, but they are a amazingly very angelic motherboard.

But DFI makes a REALLY nice board, as powerfully as MSI.

SLI is the future my friend.. SLI fit board with two PCIe x16 slots. SLI let two video cards combine to share the workload and it actually works!

Then go to your nvidia control panel (if you enjoy a nvidia graphics card) or the Ati control panel if you have an ati card.

Sorry thats the best I can do, I'm running vista and the nvidia control panel does not hold all of its features however.

Sudden Power bad mystery saga !?

My PC shuts rotten at random times. At first it be when I was ripping MP3s so I thought it might be getting too hot but since I changed the aficionado and cooling system the same piece. I changed the memory ... nothing. The problem have gotten worse the past two days. It even powers down when it boots up, only just before it starts to nouns the OS. Although I might be watching a movie and downloading stuff for 12 hours and it still runs. Its very complicated to reproduce the problem. The past two days is newly keeps doing it at impulsive times. Usually its when I am doing something with or at the second knotty drive that I have. So i've taken that one out to see what's gonna come to pass. Any ideas ?

first u hold to check weather that sound comming frm HDD(hard disk drive) or FDD(floopy disk drive) . jus turn to bios setting and disable the FDD and restart the machine. if its still creating some nouns that means..its time to purchase a foreign hard disk.

Staticy speakers?

Whenever I play solid songs, or like whenever I catch an IM, the noise will play but within is a lot of static, however when I play a song, some of them will be staticy and some of them wont, It doesnt concern how loud or quiet the system volume is, it doesnt adaptation anything, im stumped, please help

a nouns driver is going bad. newly reinstall the drivers for your sound card and consequently it will be fine. goto the system properties by holding down the windows push button and hitting the pause/break key. selecte hardware and after device manager. find the nouns properties in the chronicle and double click it and it will open up adjectives that in nearby for the sound. delete just the sound items. consequently hit apply and ok. reboot the system and it will detect andinstall your sound drivers for you. if you own a pci sound card, reinstall them next to the disk after the system boots up.
It sounds like any a bad line or your sound card is impossible. I would try a new stereo chain, and if it still sounds bad, you,ll probably requirement a new nouns card. It could be just really dusty, but I doubt to be precise the problem.
